• Tongue Hotel
  Tongue hotel. The tongue hotel was built as a hunting lodge in the late 1800's by the duke of sutherland, and the atmosphere, full of big salmon and fresh sea trout, hangs thick with that golden age of highland touring. the tongue hotel has 19 bedrooms, most with en-suite bathrooms, tv and coffee facilities. all the rooms are unique, some with beautifully tiled fire places and big easy chairs. the dining room, spacious and elegant, serves traditional breakfasts and full dinner. there is local produce available, loch erribol king prawns and kyle of tongue oysters are caught nearby, and we provide a varied menu complemented by an extensive wine list. a range of whiskies and scottish ales are always available in the cocktail and public bars.
